Homestead Carnival - At the Fair




This week is our little county fair. I love going to the fair – come with me!




First let’s look at the PRODUCE DISPLAYS. Folks have put a lot of love and hard work into growing those fruits and veggies, now proudly displayed on tables and shelves at the fair.

This is truly the time of year for squash! If you are overrun with them,
Michele Croft at Wishful Homesteader can tell you how to use them. How about pan-fried squash?

In the HOME EC BUILDING we can look at quilts, crafts and foods. What a variety of things to see!

If you come back to the fair later this week, you'll find me in the goat barn. My daughter and I will be showing dairy goats. As well as the milkers, we are taking three of our doe kids.
